Parker's Story
Our son started the Reading Experts program during the summer between his first and second grade year. Parker has Down Syndrome and his education follows an IEP. His reading level was a little below his current grade level at the end of the school year, but during the summer his reading level increased eight months in a two month time period!! The one on one instruction and the teaching philosophy of the program have been great. The instruction makes it fun and keeps him motivated. Parker loves going each week and continues to make great progress!

John's Story
John began reading treatment at Reading Experts during the summer before his 4th grade school year. John had been placed on an IEP in the public school system with a category of LD (learning disabled). He was reading at a 1.2 (beginning 1st grade level) when he began sessions at Reading Experts. After attending sessions during the summer his reading level had increased to a 1.7 grade level. During the fall he continued to attend sessions and his reading level increased to the 2.7 grade level. By the end of the school year he was reading on a 4.1 grade level. During his 5th grade school year, the IEP team at the public school that he attended met and decided to take him off of an IEP since he no longer needed special education services since he was reading on grade level.
